Working around live cables can be a hazardous occupation for obvious reasons and with an ever increasing demand for safety in and around the workplace, Carters has developed their Patented SHOCKSAFE range to ensure the safety of any user. The range complies with the exact specification of BS8020 which significantly reduces the risk of injury, in a potentially live and dangerous working environment.
Each of our tools are doubly protected by twin layers of polymer sheathing, moulded over the rigid fibreglass core. The orange insulation used for the outer sheathing has been developed for its high voltage and abrasion resistance properties. For extra protection a specially integrated collar prevents the user’s hand slipping onto the steel blade. Each tool is then flash tested to 10,000 volts and printed with its own unique number and given an individual certificate, thus offering total traceability and guaranteeing full conformity to live cable working specification.
